Desmond Rashaun Smith was born on August 24, 1997 in Texarkana, TX to Trina Hamilton and Tim Smith. Desmond attended Mineral Springs High School and graduated with his Class of 2016 in Ashdown, AR.
He joined Scott’s Memorial United Methodist Church at a young age where he played the drums and sang in the choir. Desmond was a kind, gentle and loving person with a personality and smile bright enough to light up the room. He loved to dance and had a great love for music. He had a swagger that couldn’t be matched; His “sauce” was one of a kind. He was loved by so many near and far, never met a stranger, and gained many “brothers and sisters” along the way. If “he was cool with you, he fooled with you.”
He absolutely enjoyed spending free time with his family and friends. Desmond loved his family with all of his heart and soul. His parents and little brother were his life. He would tell anyone, and I mean anyone, that his Nana (Gail) and Granny (Penny) were absolutely hands down the best grandmothers in the world!
Desmond departed this earthly life on Sunday, July 16, 2017 in Ashdown, AR.
Desmond, we loved you but God loved you more. You will be greatly missed!
