Richard Hogue is working for a cause. The well-known retired businessman often gets behind causes he believes in and right now he's working for the betterment of a facility in Faulkner County called Renewal Ranch. The non-profit helps men break the chains of addiction through the power of Christ. It offers a 12 month program including counseling, teaching, Bible study, and more. Those in the program are required to live on campus during the first six months of the program. They are housed, fed, and ministered at no cost. The next six months (or Phase II) consists of group meetings and Bible studies several times a week as well as chapel attendance on Saturdays, local church attendance on Sunday, and weekly meetings with a mentor.
Over 175 men have graduated successfully from the first phase of treatment and five Hempstead County men have gone through the program The ranch currently serves 32 men.
Renewal Ranch is raising $90,000 for a new, multipurpose building. This will allow the organization to expand the number of men it serves. This is where Richard Hogue comes in. He is working to help raise funds locally for this expansion. If you'd like to learn more or visit with Mr. Hogue, phone him at 777-5534. He will be happy to explain the Renewal Ranch mission and what their needs are.
