The Hope Academy of Public Service hosted a special Hope/Hempstead County Chamber of Commerce on Tuesday September 13th. The special Coffee acted as "open house" for the new school. Four interns from the Clinton School of Public Service were on hand for the event. The graduate students are working on curriculum and ideas for public service. They will also be working with the students at the school. Pictured are school board members Jesus Coronado and Millie Green along with Superintendent Bobby Hart. To the right of Hart are Clinton School interns Caroline Dunlap, Chrystal Mercer, Andrew Trevino, and Zack Huffman. On the far right is HAPS Principal Dr. Carol Ann Duke. There are 156 students in grades 5 through 8 at the Academy.
