Hope ABC Pre-School openings noted
HOPE – School year program openings for the Hope ABC Pre-School for 2016-2017 are currently being filled for children ages three and four years-old.
Marilyn Hampton, ABC supervisor, said the program will have 20 openings for three-year old students and 20 openings for four-year old students prior to the rollover date of April 1.
“We have kids that move all the time, however,” Hampton said. “And, we don’t have the waiting list that we had last year.”
She said applications are currently being accepted based upon the waiting list for 2016-2017, and that parent orientation for new students is set for the first week in August.
Classes are conducted daily Monday through Friday during the school year from 8:30 a.m. until 2 p.m. at the ABC campus at 601 W. Sixth St., behind the Garland/HAPS campus.
Children who are three years old or four years old on or before Aug. 1, 2016, are eligible for enrollment. Hampton said while there is no cost for the program, families must meet income eligibility requirements, and enrollment is limited.
All ABC Pre-School classes are taught by paraprofessional instructors.
Enrollment information may be obtained and questions should be directed to Hampton at 722-2705 during class hours.
