Hope School Board member and police detective lieutenant Jimmy Courtney reads aloud to Robin Bobo’s second grade class at Clinton Primary School. Courtney is among community volunteers who have read aloud to classes at Clinton Primary School throughout the school year. The Lil’ Cat Reading Club program is part of an early literacy initiative of the Hope Public Schools to encourage interactive reading between adults and children. Any adult may volunteer to read to a class at Clinton Primary School. Reading sessions are typically on Fridays and schedules are available by contacting Ken McLemore, HPS communications director, at firstname.lastname@example.org online.
