The Hope/Hempstead County Chamber of Commerce "Christmas In The City" Parade was held Tuesday December 6th. The parade was originally scheduled for December 5th but was reschedued for Tuesday due to rain. The parade had 26 units and was one of the largest in recent years. 4th place/Honorable Mention went to "Granny's Babies", a first-time entrant. Third Place went to Tiny Miss Hempstead County, Second Place went to the Hope Family Church, and First Place went to the First United Methodist Church Preschool. The Chamber thanks all the participants, those who turned out to watch the parade, and Chairman Tonja Hays and her committee. Special Thanks also to Brazzel/Oakcrest Funeral Home for allowing the parade to line up on their parking lot.
