HOPE – The Southwest Arkansas Arts Council will host a “Business After Hours” showing of the “Outsider Art” retrospective of the works of Prescott artist Spot Daniel.
The special showing is set for 4-6 p.m. Thursday at the Arts Station, 200 E. Division St., in downtown Hope.
“While Daniel self-describes his works as ‘rough or raw art,’ his subjects are easily recognizable although considerably altered,” SWAAC First Vice President John Hollis said. “Daniel considers himself an ‘outsider’ in the art world and classifies his art as ‘Outsider Art.’”
The gallery showing of Daniel’s work will be open to the public from Jan. 31 – Feb. 24, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., Tuesdays through Thursdays at the Arts Station.
