The Hope/Hempstead County Chamber of Commerce Community Coffee on Wednesday March 10th will be hosted by Historic Washington State Park. The Coffee is set for 9:30am until 11am at the Chamber office.
Medical Park Hospital will hold "Business After Hours" Wednesday March 10th from 5pm to 7pm. The public is invited to stop by the George Wright Medical Office Complex at 302 Bill Clinton Drive to meet Jackie Wilson, a new Physician's Assistant and Dr. Andrea Echols who is a family practice physician. The Hempstead County Democratic Women's Club will host their annual "Beans & Cornbread" dinner and rally on Thursday March 11th from 4:30pm to 7pm at the Fair Park Community Center. Tickets are $5 and are available from any member.

Trout are now stocked at Lake Huckabee in Fair Park. The limit is 5 per person per day. A valid Arkansas fishing license and trout stamp are required to catch the trout. You may use live or artificial bait.
There will be a steak and chicken fund raiser dinner at the 1st Church of the Nazarene on Friday March 19th from 11:00 A.M. until 1:00 P.M.at the Fellowship Hall in Prescott located at 200 West 2nd St. North. Then dinner will be held at the Prescott Elementary school cafeteria from 5 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. You will need to place your orders in advance. The Nevada County Master Gardeners will be hosting "Spring...A Time To Till" on Saturday, March 20th from 8:30-12:30 at the Central Baptist Church Stokes Center. This year's speakers are Chris Olsen, landscape designer and owner of Botanica Gardens in Little Rock, and Janet Carson, horticulture specialist for the State Cooperative Extension Service. The UAMS College of Nursing at Hope Student Nurses' Association will host a benefit for Hope in Action and the Courage House. Persons who wish to help may drop off good used clothing, household goods such as paper products and persons hygiene products, baby items, and non-perishable food items. The Prescott Kiwanis Club will have its annual Pancake Supper and Silent Auction Thursday April 8th from 5pm to 7pm at the Prescott Elementary School Cafeteria. Tickets are $5 and are available from any Prescott Kiwanis member or at the door. Proceeds fund community projects and scholarships.
Prescott High School Project Graduation is having a concert on Saturday, April 17th at 6pm in the Sports Arena at PHS. There are many people performing and all are from this area.
